Board Retreat with Happy Hollow Foundation

Based in San Jose, CA, Happy Hollow Foundation (HHF) helps the beloved, city-owned Happy Hollow Park & Zoo remain a valued community asset, by supporting conservation, education, and play. To support its mission, Schonfield Consulting organized a HHF Board retreat in late January, focused on unity, reflection, and future planning. Board members discussed their vision for the foundation, celebrated recent successes, and identified key areas for growth, including board structure and committee effectiveness. The retreat was an important step in preparing for a strategic plan later this year.

Fundraising Support for CCRDA in Ethiopia

Based in Ethiopia, the Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA) supports civil society organizations across the nation by promoting sustainable development and humanitarian efforts. We’re working with CCRDA to strengthen its fundraising strategies and increase resource mobilization. We meet with CCRDA’s leadership team each week by Zoom to analyze past fundraising efforts, identify new donor prospects, and develop targeted outreach efforts for each donor. With our support, CCRDA is making excellent progress building a strong funder pipeline and reaching new donors. This fundraising consulting effort is supported by Nonprofit Builder (based in Switzerland).

Welcome Zacha!

We’re thrilled to welcome Zacha Belok as our newest Associate Consultant at Schonfield Consulting! Zacha is a leadership coach and trainer who supports nonprofit leaders nationwide with organizational development and coaching. His unique approach blends embodiment, mindfulness, and art therapy to help leaders cultivate authentic leadership within their organizations. Zacha has conducted thousands of coaching sessions, trainings and workshops across nonprofit, industry, and government settings, working with the City of Santa Monica, Planned Parenthood, Amazon and Salesforce and others. He’s looking forward to diving into Schonfield Consulting projects and leveraging his expertise on our team. Welcome Zacha!
