Episcopal Impact Fund Considers Affordable Housing Issues

In January, we wrapped up a strategic planning process with our client, Episcopal Impact Fund, which is the philanthropic arm of the Episcopal Diocese in the Bay Area. One of the most interesting topics that emerged was the opportunity for religious institutions to use their land assets to create affordable housing stock, of which California is in dire need.

Here’s a KQED article on the topic: https://www.kqed.org/news/11922784/california-churches-want-to-build-affordable-housing-on-their-land-so-why-is-it-so-hard

While there are many complexities to this issue, we hope to see more churches, other faith leaders, developers, and nonprofits partnering on creative solutions for affordable housing in the coming years.
