With gratitude…

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we’re reflecting on the many things we’re extremely grateful for – our wonderful friends and family, very inspiring clients, and leaders who are working day-in and day-out to make meaningful social change. See more below about two inspiring clients working for social justice in the Bay Area. As the year winds down, we hope you can take time to reflect on our hard-won victories but also relax and rejuvenate for the work ahead.  Happy holidays!

This fall, Schonfield Consulting began working with CROP (Creating Restorative Opportunities & Programs) an Oakland-based restorative justice organization. CROP’s mission is to reimagine prisoner re-entry through a holistic, human-centered approach, focusing on advocacy, housing, and the future of work. All of CROP’s staff are formerly incarcerated individuals. We’re helping CROP develop a new three-year business plan, that will provide a “road map” going forward and help the organization grow and thrive.

Earlier this year, we began working with BAHIA (Bay Area Hispano Institute for Advancement), a Latino nonprofit providing bilingual preschool and after-school programs in the Bay Area. We’re helping BAHIA’s Excecutive Director (Beatriz Leyva-Cutler) and staff to streamline their fundraising systems, develop a fundraising plan, and increase support from foundations and indivduals. We’re very honored to support BAHIA, which has promoted bilingualism and Latino culture to diverse families in Berkeley for 46 years.
